In the article it was noted that only the brains of stutterers showed activation in the areas of the thalamus, globus pallidus, left claustrum, and bilateral insula. Has there been any research or findings addressing the involvement of the nuerotransmitters in brain activity of stutterers. The nuerotransmitters are synthesized in the nuclei of the basal ganglia. I was just wondering if this was an area that has been looked into. I find this all interesting and the article very informative. Thanks for sharing this article and providing this wonderful information.
