Mary - You're very sharp! Only one other person has noticed (or, at least, mentioned) the really dumb mistake I made when I said that one group of stutterers was left-handed. All of our subjects - males, females, stutterers, and nonstutterers - have been right-handed. (Some parts of my brain must have been colored blue/green when I was typing the manuscript!)

Now, about that blue/green apparent difference between the two groups of women. Inhibition/suppression of blood flow in those areas of the brain did not distinguish between stutterers and nonstutters, so we have not analyzed them further at this point.

We're really pleased that you've read our paper so carefully and with such good understanding.
