Angie, thanks for your comments and your questions.

My realisation came from my awareness that my speech altered with different people. I remember seeing an important business man, followed by a nervous lady, followed by another business man and seeing my speech change from dysfluent ,to smooth and back to dysfluent again.

I new I could speak well on my own, so I reasoned I could speak well at any time if I changed my perceptions.

I don't believe it is necessary for everyone to have perfect speech. It is our dealing with life's obstacles that forges our unique personalities. Since diversity is to be celebrated and no one personality should be seen as being superior to another, I say to each his own. "Different strokes suit different folks". If PWS want to change then I hope my article helps but I do not believe anyone should insist that change happen.

Said another way, "Everyone is their own self-improvement project".
