Hello Lisa
Given that dysfluency is a weakness in the communication process then speech therapy can be aimed at building up easily achievable strenghths.
Relaxation, eye contact, active and passive listening, are all skills a pws can learn to do well.
Also I found the more relaxed I was the more I was able to remember the speech technique advice I had been given! (and not panic!)
So to answer your question, YES, relaxation techniques would be an excellent addition to therapy. (assuming the PWS had not already worked on this area.)
Best wishes for your career
Mark
