I have been through most of the papers now, and also read the comments and questions. I have divided the papers into four categories: 1. The personal ones with a content that is of general interest. 2. The professional/scientific ones. 3. The pseudoscientific ones that may cause harm. 4. The personal ones that are only of interest to the writer and his/her friends.

The answers/comments to the 3 and 4 reflect what I mean. Some have developed into a chat between friends within the happy NSA family. I can see that Judy Kuster makes an effort to get things back on track, hopefully she will succeed.

I also think that the conference is somewhat lopsided. Of 30 invited papers 22 were from American sources. I would suggest for future conferences that you invite people, especially professionals, from a wider range of countries to present a paper.(What about someone from the universities of Hamburg and Göttingen in Germany, or professionals from Scandinavia?)You could then perhaps avoid some of the pseudoscientific ones, and get more people from outside the US to be interested in participating, and we could get some "fresh blood" into the discussion. I also feel that the conference hasn't been advertised well enough internationally. I think it would be a great idea to contact stuttering associations all over the world, and let them pass the word on to their members. Having said this, I must say I enjoy participating in the conference, and I would like to thank Judy Kuster and the others who have put so much effort into this.
