Hi Judy,

Thanks for all the great suggestions. Our goal with the resource list is to provide general information rather than specific. For example, rather than including specific articles form ISAD conferences (which would not meet our criteria), we would just list the Stuttering Home Page (which would meet our criteria) and state that numerous examples of various assessment and treatment approaches can be found through a link with the ISAD conferences.

Our main objective is to provide general resources for parents who may not know a lot about stuttering. By giving them places like the Stuttering Home Page, SFA, NSA, IFA, ASHA, etc. we can steer them to places that provide information from experts rather than having them find information from a guy who decided to talk about stuttering on his AOL homepage (I've actually had an experience with that).

We used data from a questionnaire to determine what factors parents had the most concerns about as their child began assessment/treatment for stuttering. Things like insurance denials, handling sibling interactions, genetics, etc. kept popping up so we tried to steer the resource list in a direction that would address those concerns.

Thanks again for all the info. Will look forward to seeing you at ASHA.

Craig
