Greetings. My name is Andrea D and I am a graduate student in the speech language pathology program at Fontbonne University. I am currently taking a seminar in fluency disorders class. I found your article to be extremely interesting. I think that it is important to see the relevance of speech therapy from a physician's viewpoint, such as the view that you shared in your paper. Also you state, that recent neuroscience research has revealed a genetic component in the understanding of stuttering, as being a brain-based phenomenon. My question to you is whether you feel that future research should continue to focus on the genetic component of stuttering? Thank-you for your time.
