Hello, My name is Becky and I'm a graduate student in the field of Speech-Language Pathology. Let me begin by saying that I thoroughly enjoyed your paper. I found the information regarding brain plasticity intriguing.

In your paper, you talked about a "critical period" when brain plasticity is highest. As I understand it, the "ciritical period" occurs during childhood and as we get older our brain plasticity decreases. With this in mind, how do you feel the intensity of fluency treatment should correlate with the client's age? Should fluency treatment more intense during childhood when the brain's plasticity is high or should it be more intense in adulthood so as to compensate for low brain plasticity?

Thank you for your time.
