I can only echo what Judy's said. It must have been doubly hard for Paul to move to a non-English speaking country like Norway (although I know most Norwegians speak excellent English as a second language). I just wondered whether there was any appreciable difference in your fluency either way when you began integrating into the society and culture? I must it admit it would have scared me to death!
