To Paul, Tobe, and Chris,
Congratulations to all of you:) It is wonderful to hear happy stories!
Now that you are happily married do you notice a difference in your fluency?
I was wondering if the support, boost of self-confidence, and the encouragement from your spouse plays a positive role with your stuttering. Also, the challenges and encouragement that your spouse gives you to open-up to new experiences (for example, moving to a new country).
Especially Tobe, because you wrote,"the minute I stopped hiding was the minute I started living". You also said that you didn't think you would break out of the negative existence, your life consisted of avoidance, and you created a safe little world for you.
Chris, you said that you thought you were destined to live a somewhat lonely life. You also said that you dreaded and avoided social occasions.
