Even if you didn't address me, I would like to throw in a comment, since I'm involved in one of the love stories. I think it is a common misunderstanding (among non-stutterers) that people who stutter are more fluent with their loved ones. This is probably based on the myth that people who stutter are nervous, maladjusted etc. A couple of years ago there was an interesting discussion on the German Stuttering Chat page about this. Most found in fact that they were more disfluent with their loved ones, and regarded this as being a result of feeling relaxed, feeling no pressure to appear fluent, knowing that they were accepted and loved the way they were. It does give a wonderful boost to one's self confidence to find someone who is willing to share your life and love you the way you are. I do feel that Paul is as much a support to me as I am to him.
