Paul, thanks for your comments. I agree that we should be careful about tying principles of stuttering theory and treatment to any concept without a rational basis. The purpose of this paper is to provide a tool for clients and/or professionals who may come from a Christian perspective.

How do you view the role of faith in the treatment process? Do you believe it (faith) has a possible place in treatment or do you believe issues of faith do not belong in this setting? What should I do if a person from another faith (non-Christian) comes to me for treatment and then mentions something about God? Do I let this go or do I introduce my perspective in this discussion?

Look forward to your reply.
