Tracy, thanks for your comments.

I let the client lead with regards to bringing spriritual matters into treatment. If they make a comment or give a suggestion that they have a faith-based approach to life or solving problems, then I might follow-up with telling them I have this paper. If they are interested in reading it, I give it to them and say if they want to discuss this further we will. I usually say no more unless they bring it up.

Regarding interest level, I have been surprised at the interest that has been shown by both professionals and clients. I believe that there is a need for this kind of information and from the response that I received so far, that belief has been upheld. There were over 130 professionals who attended a presentation at our state convention and many wrote and asked for copies of the handout. When I mentioned I had this paper at the Oxford Dysfluency Conference in June, again many expressed an interest and requested the paper. I have not had one client who said they were not interested in reading what was offered. So, I think there is a need for something like this and I plan to continue exploring ways of incorporating these concepts into the treatment process where appropriate.

I appreciate your time as well!
