Hi, Ed! The Biblical account of Moses relates how he first talked to the multitudes by speaking in unison with Aaron. Later Aaron gradually withdrew his vocal support as Moses gradually gained public speaking confidence. This is powerful evidence that Moses' speaking difficulty was indeed stuttering, as the help that Aaron provided Moses made use of the now well-known choral speaking phenomenon. A fascinating analysis of this apparent (and successful!) Biblical stuttering therapy was published in a paper by Dr. Gerald Siegel in the mid-1980's.
