Cheers to you for responding to this letter from a 'colleague.' As a speech pathologist who does not stutter, I admire you and the model you present to anyone who stutters. I have had the opportunity to interact with you in various settings over the past 10 years and have never quetioned your abilities as a "stuttering" SLP. Because of your own experience, you have a keener insight into the trials and tribulations that accompany the disorder. Others do not have this insight. I am sure your graduate students and clients you have served have received great benefits from this insight.
Continue to do good work on the behalf of people who stutter. Our profession, our clients, and our students need more individuals like you.
