An excellent and very instructive paper! I hope lots of students will read it and take to heart what you've said. I particularly liked what you said about some really good students going into stuttering research and teaching. YES! Where would we be today without some of the academic giants in the field who we have now? STUDENTS PLEASE LISTEN TO THIS!
I also enjoyed reading about some of the history of how we got to where we are today. As with anything else, if we don't know where we came from, it's hard to know how to get to where we'd like to go.
Also a good, positive conclusion to this paper, Lee. It's very encouraging to hear someone of your stature feel good about the future.
As always, Lee, it's an honor and a personal pleasure to know you. Who would have imagined this in 1984...?
