Thank you ,Russ. I DO feel optimistic about the future of training,treatment, and research for stuttering. However, my optimism is based in large part upon the increased involvement of consumers in this process. We must as I said in the article be "rational but persistent". It has been a pleasure to work toward a common goal with so many dedicated professionals. Still, there are those who do not feel about stuttering the same way we do so we must stay vigilant. Thanks again for your kind words my friend; and yes, who would have thought back in 1984 when we met...?
