Dr. Reeves: I enjoyed your article and I think that's great that the new standards are "non-prescriptive" and again will include stuttering, specifically. This, I'm sure, is a result of hard work of many individuals.
I am curious of implementation of competencies for those individuals who are already SLP's and do NOT have current training in working with PWS? My friend just received her C's and said she has one child on her caseload who stutters and that she wasn't really sure what to do. This is understandable since she did not have a stuttering class at the graduate level. What are your thoughts on "bringing everyone up to speed" on stuttering?
