Jerry, what great comments! You've obviously experienced the spectrum -- from telling so much about your stuttering through simply telling of it and getting on. You're so right in that when we talk about it to most people, the response is the same, "What stuttering?" They know it's there, but it's not something they necessarily want to know more about -- I still profess that they want to know about us, not the stuttering.

You've found a great way to deal with it, I think, and let folks know, "Yep, that's me stuttering, but enough of that, let me tell you about -- " THAT's what people want to hear about -- us...not our stuttering. Our story, our lives, our dreams and joys is a powerful message. We just have to be careful that our message doesn't get tethered down to only a story of how our words sound.

Jerry, thanks again for your encouragement and great message. That's what this forum is all about -- encouragement to many. You've helped.

Take care and good luck.

Chris
