Thank you for your kind words and sharing your experiences.
My husband and I are expecting our first child in a couple of months, and I hope I can be open about my speech with him/her. I'll definitely keep your experience in mind.
Thank you also for doing so much to educate people about stuttering. I believe the more society understands our struggles, the easier our lives will become.
Only recently have I started to be more open about my speech (although I still have a long way to go), and I'm amazed at how accepting and interested people are. If only I would have realized this years ago.
Some day (soon), I hope I have the courage to go beyond family and friends and give talks like you do.
