From what I've read on the stuttering e-mail groups I belong to, it would appear that, as you noted, not all PWSs found their parents to be as supportive as mine were. Hopefully, anyone who doesn't find comfort and support at home can find it in friends, support groups, or stuttering organizations, such as the NSA.
