As a graduate student in speech pathology, I have found your article to be very interesting. I enjoyed learning more about Zen and its possible links and applications to stuttering therapy. Your comment regarding the client running the risk of understanding the chart, but not understanding his own speech production, or worse yet, the client being subjected to the illusion that he understands his speech production when, in fact, he understands only abstract concepts about it or, even worse, about speech production in general is so true. As a therapsit, I will strive to help my client to realize the benefits of truly understanding his own speech production.
