Sorry to be awhile in getting back to you. I've reread your paper several times now, and I think I'm getting the gist of it, so I don't think you need to worry about having been unclear. I suspect it is more my lack of general knowledge about Zen as a philosophy and practice that is at the root of my feeling of 'not quite getting it'.
Again, I appreciate your writing a paper that has given me some really quite good material to think about with respect to my own treatment methods.
