Hi Toni,
I frequently advance the view that persons who stutter could do so much more to 'educate' others about the problems that we encounter. In addition, communicating openly about my stutter has completely desensitised my attitude towards the dysfluency that has had such an effect upon my life since childhood. Consequently, I no longer have any hang-ups about stuttering, nor any fear.
I have written several in-depth articles about my experiences during childhood, adolescence and adulthood, including some interesting accounts of happenings while I was a serving police officer. (Oh!, incidentally, I wore an Edinburgh Masker auditory feedback device for more than 20 years). One day, I hope to publish my autobiography.
Thank you for your interest.
Kindest regards
Alan Badmington
