After all the years that you have been a stutterer, I bet this was an awful experience for you on your wedding day with the blocks and escapes patterns of stuttering. I notice that you said that your stuttering problems were not severve as an adult but on your wedding date it brought embaressment because you knew you had to speak in front of your family.
