Hi Candi,

Many thanks for your contribution.

A few of the earlier contributors raised the question of me speaking in unison with the vicar and my bride. (You may wish to read my response to Holly on this subject).

I can fully understand why persons who stutter would be attracted to a marriage procedure which dispensed with the need to repeat the vows in full. I would probably have welcomed one or two word responses when I married, although I was confident that my cunning plan would be successful.

However, the reverse applies today and I would prefer the challenge of saying the full vows (unaided by the vicar and my wife). I don't say that for any egotistical reason - it's merely that my outlook towards my speech has totally changed and I now purposely seek out the most challenging situations.

What other options did I consider? Again this point was raised earlier. Perhaps you will kindly refer to my detailed response to Deanna.

Your participation is most valued.

Kindest regards

Alan Badmington
