Hi Natalie and Gina,

Thank you for taking the time to contribute to the online conference.

The fact that I stuttered never created any difficulties between us as our relationship commenced and developed.

Neither Babs nor I attended a support group during the majority of our marriage - they simply didn't exist. However, such support has become available during recent years and my wife has never failed to accompany me to these meetings.

Indeed, she has been involved in every step of my recovery, as I have strived to maintain and consolidate the speech gains that I have been fortunate enough to achieve in recent times.

I wholeheartedly agree that support is more readily available today, including access to the many stuttering-related internet groups that provide welcome guidance and support for PWS, SLPs, family members and friends. Stuttering associations are also more readily available via this means.

If you have a moment, you may also wish to consider reading my responses to earlier questions, as some of them also touch upon (and enlarge) the points that you have raised.

I wish you well with your studies and thank you for your good wishes for our future happiness.

Kindest regards

Alan Badmington
