Hi Gisele,

Many thanks for your contribution.

Babs and I worked in the same building, so she was fully aware that I stuttered before we became romantically linked. I understand that someone else mentioned it to her (in general conversation) when I first commenced employment at that location.

The fact that I stuttered was never an issue. When I posed your question to her today, she told me that she was initially attracted to me because of my personality (I can't understand why she omitted to mention my impressive physique and good looks (chuckling) - only joking).

Persons who choose to marry do not (generally) take such a step lightly. It is a major decision in one's life and is, inevitably, accompanied by a degree of apprehension (regardless of one party experiencing speech difficulties).

Despite having stuttered since childhood, I have trained myself not to worry about forthcoming events. Babs, on the other hand, tends to dwell on future happenings much more than I do. I am sure that her feelings for me caused her a great deal of additional anxiety on our wedding day.

Kindest regards

Alan Badmington
