I agree with everything Dr. St. Louis says. And if I didn’t, I’d check my sources, assuming I was wrong.
Based on the insight you displayed in your post, you already know what I’m about to say. But on the assumption that others will read this, here goes: Be careful about telling clients to “bite the bullet.” Many will take this from an SLP who stutters, resent it from others. I think it’s a good message, but think long and hard about how you’ll present it.
