I have three young girls (age 3, 5, and 7). My wife and I have avoided reading any parenting books, but when I saw your reference to the Orenstein book on self-esteem, it interested me. I'm thinking that maybe I need to read about this issue. I spend time each week with my girls in school (their mom is an OB/GYN and the primary breadwinner so I get to spend lots of time with the girls) and already see issues of image and self-esteem operating with my two older girls. Would you start with the Orenstein book?
