Thanks for sharing your experience!

This has been my experience to share...

My fear decreased tremendously when I came to really know that stuttering was ok....especially if I am a person who stutters. Only when I quit trying to do what all the speech-language pathologists were telling me to do -- fluency trained, fluency shaped, modified stuttering speech --- only when I quit these things and let my self stutter and be ok as I am....Then, and only then, could I start on the journey to talking...even if I did stutter.

My confidence grew when I knew I was ok....even if I did stutter. And as communication confidence grew replacing fear, natural speech resurfaced greatly.

I believe this...If I am a person who stutters, stuttering must be ok.
