Actually I talked to both the principal and the assistant principal right before this conference opened up. Both of them told me that no one had approached them at all about my stuttering. In fact, this is the warmest reception I have received in a new school my entire professional career. I actually think it helped break down walls before they were built. I also have had people confide in me about personal issues they are dealing with. I am not sure they would have so soon. But I have learned that you make more friends sharing weaknesses than your strengths.
