Hi, Russ-in reply to the question, I didn't start to advertise til the past few years. With my kids, we do classroom presentations. I don't work with kids older than fifth grade. After that, I would encourage kids to advertise in situations that were needed. I remember in one Letting Go article, a student wrote to her teachers before/or the first week of school. I think this is an effective technique. Also kids that stutter can research and give their own presentations on stuttering. Each kid is unique and has to find their own way-just like adults. I just hope they don't have to wait til they are 40 to do so.
