Regarding what my "preventive maintenance" work consists of - I would note that I don't "work on my speech" all the time, nobody really can do that. At this point I have sufficient confidence to go into a situation and know that I can handle whatevery difficulties may arise. However, if I really want to work on my speech in general or in anticipation of an event, I would do the same things that gained me my fluency: 1) use of easy prolongations and 2) taking the initiative in stressful speaking situations.

Regarding secondary behaviors, I've mostly left those along the way. My "lapses" at this point are mainly primary stuttering.. a more acceptable way of handling the stress in a speaking situation. Like the old "iceberg" if it's brought to the surface, much of it will melt away.
