I think the difference is rather subtle. It's about tolerance of imperfection, as manifest here in "willingness to stutter". Setting the expectation that one will never stutter in the future is apsiring to speech perfection that would not be reasonable even for a non-stutterer. On the other hand, accepting the fact that one can move forward without fear even though stuttering may occur is a healthy response to moving ahead in an uncertain world.
