Dear Mr. Badmington, I am in agreement with many of the points and suggestions that you discussed in your paper. I am not a person who stutters, but have been a shy, reticent person for most of my life. I have had little self-confidence and have stayed well within my confort zones. My loved ones have enabled me to do this by doing things for me. Because of this, I feel I have missed many opportunities and experiences. Having children and becoming a speech language specialist in a public school have forced me to confront fear-inducing situations. The more I do this, the easier it becomes. I am by no means outgoing and gregarious, but I am more comfortable in new situations, and do try new things. I give you alot of credit for your courage and determination. How did your stuttering affect your ability to perform your duties as a police officer? Alice Lamoreaux
