You enquire as to how I arrived at the point of being 'ready' to take such a proactive step.
You also ask how I knew that I was ready to take that step.
I wonder if I might suggest that you read the first of my responses to Judy Butler, together with reply to Christine Beauchamp. I think you will find the answers there, although several other replies also touch upon those matters.
I wish you every success with your studies at Minnesota State University. I met Professor Judy Kuster at the NSA Convention in California last year.
