Hi Marija

I'm happy Valentina left out the bad things about us... :-)

Your questions is a hard one, as there are so many things one should not forget. To me it's important to have a variety of gender, age and country so that everyone has a chance to find a friend and that we all mingle and not stay within the group you came with for example. Another thing is not to focus on speech too much. The meeting is not a speech training class, although it's the perfect opportunity to practice your speech if you'd like, being among friends who all stutter. (Even the leaders all stutter.) The focus should be on how to develope yourself and certain skills (depending on the theme), to find your own strength, to make friends and to focus on what you CAN do. And of course, to both work and have fun. For example, we have been working with a working plan for a new stuttering association, we have learned how to make a website, information about ELSA, ISA and how national asociations work, workshops (for example about non-verbal communication), but also a day off and leisure time to talk, play ball, dance and just be yourself.

I hope this has answered some of your questions. If you have any more questions, do not hesitate to ask.

Hope to meet you one day!

Anita
