Dr. Breitenfeldt I just wanted to congradulate you on your inspiring life story. I'm just getting started in Speech Pathology and hearing stories like yours makes understanding stuttering so much easier. I would like to know your opinion on an issue. I understand how environmental factors can contribute to stuttering, but what is your stand on genetics. Do you believe that your genes have anything to do with your speech? Also, do you think stuttering is inherited? I'm curious to know if any of your children or grandchildren began to stutter. Thanks again for letting us nonstutterers understand and appreciate the life of a stutterer.
