Blocking for me is a struggle. I try not to compensate for blocking by gesturing or “throwing” out the works. I do close my eyes at times. I know my face shakes. I have mimicked myself in the mirror. I’m not usually bothered by crying babies and other distractions. Many times I do not notice it. My father has told me that he used to stutter when he was a child. I also had an uncle (my fathers’ brother) who stuttered. I do not have anyone in my congregation who stutters. I would love to have some.
