Dear Don, Thank you so much for your article. I am a senior in SPLP at Indiana University in Pennsylvaina, but more importantly I am also a mother of a child that is deaf. I often see his frustration when he wants to communicate with our family. We, my husband, my youngest son, and our son who is deaf, all use sign language as our primary mode of communication. It works very well, but sometimes there are not enough "signs" for his feelings. Do you have any suggestions on what I can do as a mother to encourage his self-worth and help him know that he is important and so is what he has to say? Thank you so much! God Bless you and your ministry. Amy Lyle adlyle@iup.edu
