Thanks for you interest in the CPS Syndrome. A discussion of the assessment procedures for the CPS Syndrome can be found in our latest "Cooper Personalized Fluency Control Therapy - Adolescent and Adult Version" (ProEd, 2003) which also includes reproducible "Adolescent and Adult Stuttering Assessment Protocols." The validity and reliability of our assessment procedures are primarily empirical in nature. They were developed for assessing clinically useful constructs rather than for measuring specific behaviors, feelings, or attitudes.
