Thanks for the kind words.

We agree on the issues you raise. We discuss "re-emergence" with our clients rather than "relapse."

Our endgoal in treatment is for the client being capable of earning and maintaining the "feeling of fluency control." Rather than have the client focus exclusively on the "frequency falacy," (the suggestion that the frequency or disfluencies is the single most important measure of stuttering severity), we address the ABCs (affective, behavioral, and cognitive) components of stuttering syndromes.
