Hello Douglas, I've read your paper with great interest, it is full of important sentences. Such one for me was the one about being a passive recipient of words and feeling helpless, and the whole first paragraph in "Systems, Communicaion and Fluidity" I shall tape on my room door! From now on when I get in a worse phase (the down-slope of a roller-coaster), I'll say "that's a twist in my fluidity" and not "my stuttering is getting worse again". I am so positive that this won't be a hard thing to do :o) Thank you for the imagery.
