Well thank you, Amy! You know, yesterday I met with 10 friends from our Stuttering Association and Richard from Holland in a national park, and we talked and walked and were taking lots of pictures... Whenever I saw a camera coming up, I would smile and Richard said "You're always smiling" and I said "Why not?". Than as I was driving home I was thinking about this and that inner voice explained: "Of course you're smiling, you've spent this wonderful day among friends, outside, you've communicated very sucessfully - and you did NOT spend your day in your room thinking how ugly your life will be when you're 28. Years ago you were sure that you won't have a boyfriend or go out with people or be appreciated, and look how wrong you were! HOW CAN YOU NOT SMILE???"
There are SLPs in my town but I'm not seeing any.
