Thank you for your nice post. You say, “The problem was that I never even imagined the possibility that I could be a lawyer because I was too ashamed of the possibility that I may stutter and I knew that changing my words and avoiding speaking situations would not be an ethical way to go.”
You go on to say that you have stopped hiding your stammer and feel that you can do anything you want. Do you think that you should have come out of the closet when you were younger and become an attorney? If you had the opportunity, would you become an attorney now? It seems to me that it would take extraordinary courage to take on a high profile position and not to hide your stammer. I’m sure that I couldn’t do it.
