I am currently studying to obtain my masters in speech language pathology. Covert stuttering therapy usually focuses on having the person who stutters become more overt. I have heard personal stories from covert stutterers who said they feel they never spoke what was truly on their mind, due to their severe avoidance mechanisms. Did you ever feel throughout your career that you were limited in what you could express verbally, to collegues and students?
