Hi Russ!

At last I’m able to reply to your comments. My university’s server has been down. Actually it was stranger than that. The server was OK, but we couldn’t access it because Netcheck - the security firewall – wasn’t working. It was like being locked out of your house by your own security system!

You say, "We'll all work together and lift ourselves up by our bootstraps. Right now, NO ONE is an expert at it, but together we can pool our knowledge and advice and make sure that today's students are a LOT more knowledgeable of covert stuttering than people are now."

We sure can! But I’m gonna have to do a lot of reading. I’ve read none of the literature on stuttering – that’s part and parcel of being a covert, I suppose. Do you have any suggestions about where I should start? Preferably with short words and lots of pictures?

Being over here in Oz in great in some ways. The natural beauty of South East Queensland is stunning (the beer’s terrible). But it’s a long way away from the U S of A, and I’m a bit envious of you folks who are able to get together from time to time. I’m supposed to be motorcycling around Peru next July, en route to attending a philosophy conference in Barcelona! I caught onto the idea when my mate Ken visited Mexico en route to Cyprus. So I might just be able to get over to see you …

Cheers

Terry
