Dear Mr. Dartnall, Thank you very much for your interesting article. I am studying to become a Speech-Language Pathologist and I am very interested in the field of stuttering. Your article contributed greatly to my understanding of the challenges and feelings of people who have a covert stammer. I think it is very important for people to read personal stories about covert stammering to become aware of the challenges of living with it. Especially since personal stories of covert stammering are quite rare (which lies in the matter itself) and the number of people having to cope with covert stammering is probably much higher than yet known to us. Through reading your story I can well relate to your reasoning why it is so hard to own up to having a stammer. The more I admire that through this article you did own up to having a stammer. After all these years of covering your stammer, what gave you the courage and strength to write about it now in public? I am also very interested in your opinion about speech therapy and how your speech therapy impacted your stammer? I would appreciate your response a lot. Please contact me via e-mail. My e-mail address is azschommler@hotmail.com. I am very much looking forward to hearing from you. Sincerely,

Anne Zschommler
