Mr. Hicks, You present a very powerful analogy. It really makes it clear what a person who stutters must deal with in order to successfully overcome his/her dificulty. It also makes it so much easier for the clinician to explain the scope of therapy and the reasons why it should necessarily involve working on both the "tip of the iceberg" and the hidden psychological end of it. The iceberg analogy is very vivid and bound to drive home the message. I must use it in my next therapy session. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, Ella Pavlotskaya
